I was looking through the latest issue of Martha Stewart Living magazine this past week and came across a recipe for Citrus Crisps.
They sounded so good so I decided to try.
Really all you need is some citrus fruit. Martha recommends oranges, grapefruits, and Meyer lemons.
I tried regular oranges, blood oranges, and grapefruit. Thinly slice up the fruit and place on baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
Sprinkle generously with sugar. (They key word here is generous. I think next time I will use a bit more, especially on the grapefruit)
Bake at 200 for about 6 hours until crisp. Flip once about halfway through the baking time.
Here are the finished citrus crisps. They really are tasty! I think next time I am going to try the Meyer lemons and maybe limes too.
These crisps make a great snack and would even make a pretty garnish for salads or desserts.
Thanks Martha : )
